Bubbling Over

JEAN SAID:

I have a friend, Lord, whose name is Joy. Literally. But she doesn't simply own the name that is on her birth certificate, Lord. This woman is a living, breathing container for Joy. Her life has been difficult. Her testimony is about being homeless and being about as far down as a woman can go. Then, Your love stretched down into the mire and pulled her out of it. You cleaned her up, and set her on a high, dry place. and, though her life is filled with challenges that keep her leaning on You, she celebrates Your love and mercy every day.

Joy now devotes her life to ministering to every "down-and-outer" she encounters. She operates a ministry that organizes efforts to provide those folks with the necessities of life. Then, she gives them Your Word wrapped up in unconditional love and delivered with contagious joy. She is forever hopeful. In spite of great pain in her life right now, she displays a courageous peace.

She fleshes out for me Romans 15:13, Lord. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

I ask You to continue to bless the ministries she leads and the thousands of people she touches. I ask You to provide her with the courage she needs to live a joyous, victorious life.

GOD SAID:

Hope. Joy. Peace. Your friend's life overflows with them because she has released the power of My Holy Spirit inside her. She doesn't let the heated circumstances of her life, or of the people around her, clamp a lid down on her joy. Like a pot of water on a hot burner, her joy that bubbles and rumbles inside of her has to escape. It has to bubble out and flow onto those around her. The higher the heat, the more Joy's joy bubbles out and spills over.

Tell Me, Little One, when was the last time you let My Holy Spirit blow the lid off your life?
