Doxology

JEAN SAID:

"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!" In the 11th chapter of Romans Paul breaks out in a doxology - a song of praise to You, Lord. He's in the middle of explaining a very touchy subject in this chapter: Your relationships you have with Israel and with Christians, and the relationship between Israel and Christians. That's a tough one for me to understand, God.

When Paul starts talking about Your mercy to us in verses 28 & 29 he gets caught up in the wonder of it and he just starts singing about it. He sings of Your promises to Israel in Isaiah 59 & Jeremiah 31. He recalls Isaiah 40 which describes in beautiful poetry how wonderful You are! He pulls from his memory Your conversation with Job in Job 41. And he can't help himself - he bursts into a doxology about Your greatness.

I want to lift my voice in Your praise, too! I want to sing about Your mercy, Your power, Your wisdom, Your beauty! I want to join Paul in singing of Your incomparable greatness, God. I want to jump right in at the chorus:

"from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever!"

You ARE amazing, God!

GOD SAID:

Paul knew one of My secrets, Little One. Now, so do you. There is great power in praise. When you lift your voice to praise Me great things happen inside you. When you spend the moments of your life praising Me great things happen around you.

Keep singing.
