I just received a phone call, Lord, about an old friend, J. Right now You're welcoming her home to heaven. At last those legs that haven't walked in years are running on streets of gold. Those arms that have been useless for a long time are waving and hugging and lifting up praises to You. That voice that slowly weakened to a tiny whisper on earth is singing at full volume, "Hallelujah to the Lamb!"
J. passed from this life of sickness into Your presence in the wee hours of the morning. She closed her eyes in the midnight hour here and opened them to Your eternal day! What glorious sights she is enjoying right now.
Thank You, Lord, for her life here. Thank You for the kindness she shared with so many people. Thank You for her smile that brightened other people's lives. Thank You for the strength of character & faith she demonstrated the past few years. As her body deteriorated her confidence & joy in You grew stronger.
Tell her to save a few hugs for me, please.
Will do, Little One. BTW - your place is reserved. Your welcoming committee is growing larger each year and anxiously awaiting your arrival, too. See you soon.
